Williams RC is my way of
letting others share in my developments and knowledge. I like to
design planes that fly high end 3D aerobatics and I hope to get an
information section started here that will help others with various areas of
RC Aerobatics. I started flying RC planes about 1977 in Southern
Illinois and have flown many different types of radio controlled aircraft.
During the summer of 2001 I began work on a 40 size edge 540 profile plane.
I built a prototype, took it to the field and knew I was close. With some
changes to the original design, I flew the second
prototype, it was the one and is now known as the Morris Hobbies
Sledge 540. There are now several hundred Sledge 540's flying. I am grateful
to everyone that owns and enjoys this plane. I have also done 4 different
electric foamy designs, a cap 232, yak 54, extra 330 and edge 540. If
interested you can download these for free off the profile brotherhood site. I am currently working on
many new designs and will release more information on this site as things
progress. Happy contrails, Jeff Williams!
This
picture was taken at the Toledo Show in 2002 with the Riders Hobbies girls and
the 2nd prototype sledge. This plane became Model Airplane News' top 50 hot
picks for the year. What an honor for me.
